2010 MIKE ADAMS KIT BASH ENTRIES

I built this model from a FanKit Models kit. I lowered the watertank. Did make new roof and bumper turrets. Add. A ladder, toolbox and extra lights. Painted it with Tamiya Chrome Yellow. Decaled it as Los Angeles Airport Foam 2.

My entrance is one of the older, non roll-up doors now Spare Freightliner Engines from Fort Worth/TX. Here you can see Engine 15 !

Pieces I used for Kitbash:
Cab is a orginal from Code 3 Fort Worth Engine, remove old numbers and install new numbers, the body is from a Code 3 Baltimore County Freightliner, stripped and painted new, install numbers and stripes. All Decals are from Inquaters.com.
Another step is to shortened the pump panel so it looks closer to the Orginal.

This build used the windshield, light bar, and windshield washers from a Code 3 ALF pumper. The cab is a resin casting of a heavily modified cab that I made years ago. The rescue body and chassis are completely scratch built. The decals are home made, and bare metal foil was used to finish the bright areas on the model. All of the miniature equipment is hand made. In the compartments, there is a Stokes basket, back boards, an ice vest cooler, an igloo cooler, a Hurst tool, a portable generator and cord, jump bags, an oxy-acetylene setup, and cribbing, as well as a tool box on a roll-out tray. The bunker gear and helmet were made with Sculpey clay.

These are pics of my LAFD Engine 9 "Skid Row" kit bash. I used a 1:32 scale FDNY Squad 61 model and did a lot of scratch build for this model.
I am bender aka Andy Theobald from the board and 33 yo. It took me lot of time to do this kit bash, made all by myself, also the decals.
