Fire Open Kit Bash

From:  Bob Powers

This was made with a Code 3 NYPD International/Saulsbury. The body of the truck was mostly scratch built and what wasn't scratch built was modified to resemble the real FDNY TSU 1. The boat if from Boley due to the original boat being too big and the auto crane was shortened to fit the light tower box on it.

This was a Code3 Hoffman Estates Ladder, and an Indy ALF Tower. No serious  modifications other than splicing the two chassis. Added a few extra toolboxes and scene lights. All the outriggers work, ladder telescopes and rotates.

A Code 3 Sutphen membership pumper. Major modifications are, chopping off the roof, extending the entire chassis and pump panel area to give the impression of a bigger water tank, and extending hose bed area. All new paint and a few extras. The toolboxes are molded from other boxes on Code 3
models. Roadblocker Decals, and don't miss the bell on the front bumper.

This is Hook & Ladder 21 for my factious Dept.
It is a Sutphen cab with an LTI ladder. I stripped the paint off both models. I fixed the turning wheel from the LTI cab to the Sutphen. The roll up doors behind the cab are from 2 Sutphen models. I have added extra warning lights under the rear of the deck. I also added a ladder to the tillermans cab and a shorter ground ladder on that side. The decals are by road blockers. I had the paint made for a previous project.

The models is based on a Sutphen tanker/engine. It is numbered as E21 for my factious Dept.
I used 2 membership Sutphens for this truck. After stripping the parts and paint off, I cut the bodies. One in front of the rear axle and one behind the axle.

This was done with a hacksaw, I then had to file and sand the bodies so that they fitted back together. I used brass square beams and Tamiya Epoxy Putty to fix the parts together. After reassembly I painted the truck and added the decals. I than put everything else back in place. The hose bed cover is an old piece of hose patching fabric. The decals are from Roadblockers and the paint is from Tamiya.
