My Chicago Tower arrived a couple of weeks ago, looks fantastic. I am collecting only classic releases from Fire Replicas. Would be great to see an old Walters ARFF unit for LaGuardia Airport1
You have my vote!!!!

Just received mine. Detail on it is unbelievable. The photos do not do it justice. One thing I noticed, which I had not realized looking at the photos, is that it is a right hand drive vehicle. I am wondering what the reason for that on the original was.
That was the normal side for early Seagrave, Ahrens Fox and American LaFrance during the 1920's. I believe Mack had them on the left side in the 20's.
Thanks for the answer. I never noticed (or realized) before, but looking at some of the older pieces in my collection, you are right. Looking at the Water Tower, I still cannot believe the intricate detail. As a kid, I thought the Mack Tootsietoy fire set was the most realistic looking fire truck I had seen. Fast forward 50 years and I thought the Code 3s and the detailed Corgis were the best possible. Then came TWH and the detail became what I thought would be the best possible in a model. What did I know. Fire Replicas has blown all other model makers out of the water with their detail. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy my collection from all of the other manufacturers, but I can't get over the latest step in detail. What's next, turn a miniature key and have the vehicle start?

Got mine today along with the FDNY Squads. Not quite sure how I like the way it's mounted offset to the base to make it's overall length including the tower centered within the case. The nameplate is about and inch or so past the front wheel on one end but is about the same distance short of the rear wheel on the other end (visible in inspection photos above). I've always thought that the cases were a bit too large for most of these which takes up shelf space unnecessarily, but in this case, I feel a larger case to center the body would have looked better. On another note, the delivery included promo card for FDNY TL-14 and I'm assuming it's part of another 3-piece group.

You could remove it from the case
Was thinking about doing just that.

The 1923 Water Tower was renumbered and organized as Water Tower 3 at Engine 104’s on South Michigan (Building is now a resturant) it ran from 104’s from 1928 until 1959. This was also about the time WT 4 was put in service at Engine 1’s. WT 4 was the original “Cherry Picker Snorkel”.
In 1928 Water Tower 3 moved to Engine 46. It ran out of Engine 46 from 1959 until 1961, in 1961 the rig was replaced and Snorkel 6 was organized with a brand new 70 foot Ford Strato Snorkel, WT 3 basically went to the shops for storage after 1961. This rig was a front line piece from 1923 until 1961 38 years.
