Man, what a FAIL. They really messed up the proportions, and probably in the interest of elongating the model, to match packaging size.

While I am excited over a new release, I am dissapointed to see once again the amount of plastic that is used in this model as well as the solid molding of the ladder.
Tomica seemed to be the last hold out on turning the miniture die cast models into miniture die cast/plastic models
From what I can see in the picture they did not do a horrible job with this ...... and am happy with at least a new release
Additional new models from Tomica should be released before the end of the year .... including a new ambulance mold and a new fire apparatus pumper mold !
