Re: last of the Ashton`s

I also got my Ashton recently - indeed a sad day for those of us who have collected Gerhard's models. I always looked forward to his flyers in the mail and enjoy my Ashton collection immensely.

Re: Replex tires.....

There is a guy on eBay France that I have bought tires from before that fit these perfectly. I just looked quickly and could not find him, but periodically i get an email newsletter in French - I'll post it if I get it again. He makes replacements parts for French die cast.

Re: Truck City Toys / DeHanes

Thanks for TCT. 300 was the Mack B Cornwall 301 was the Mack B Lampeter 331 I'm trying to confirm that also - I have some on display that I have as blanks on my list so I'm looking for the boxes to confirm the model numbers. I have the boxes, just packed away. So far I have 300-334 but 302, 304-306,...

Re: Truck City Toys / DeHanes

I have been working on this for awhile. There are quite a few DeHanes I did not realize existed, and then I found some more in a box in my attic, and then some old advertising that provided some fill-in data. I'm working on compiling a list which I want to publish online with photos of all these han...

Re: Larry Philips Collection out for bid

Joe It does make me think about this more - if all things go well I've got quite a few more years to think about my "estate" - but I joke with my wife often about what models she should not let go cheap ... Seriously - we all take this hobby seriously, and most of us want to keep it as long as possi...

Re: Larry Philips Collection out for bid

They did a terrible job. Terrible. 50% of what I bought is dust, not like broken off mirrors, but shattered. It is going to make it hard for them to do the next auctions - they said there will be 2 more later in the spring, but they will have to get their act together before then.

Re: Code 3 Diamond Plate Philly Squirt 43

I, too had my preorder cancelled for this, but did get 57 later on. I still wish I had a flawed 43 but certainly not for $800. I asked questions about this about a year ago or so, and some people with much more detailed knowledge shared about the flaws as also iterated here. The striping was wrong f...
