Re: LACoFD KME

Has anyone gotten a model or a refund or any sort of notice of shipping? Anything? The Facebook page is gone now. I'm interested to know that too. despite my love for all things LA County, I never bit the bullet on this one since he never showed a finished product. Too pricey to make that gamble fo...

Mike,

He’s a salesman pushing his product, should you be surprised?

That said I agree the IR KME looks to hold some good hope for us collectors!
True, but he also sells a lot of resin models, so there is a tinge of hypocrisy there. ;)

Re: LA Engine 51 by Iconic

Just amazing that he keeps perpetuating the myth that resin models will "melt" in hotter temperatures. With that said, his 1/64th scale KME model looks extremely promising!

Re: LACoFD KME

Unless there is gold stashed inside this model, it is worth nowhere near $250.00. As Troy said, for $100 more you get a 100% dead-on accurate model from Fire Replicas that is larger and substantially more detailed. I had high hopes when this was first announced, but alas it is a complete disappointm...

Re: Kess 1/43 NYPD 68 Plymouth Fury,

it definitely looks worlds better without the fender skirts. It won't deter me from getting it, but the chrome part of the grille is wrong - should be only horizontal lines, not squares for a '68, regardless of trim level. Also, the hubcaps are wrong for a '68 - the ones with the holes didn't come o...

Is the rear wheel well accurate? ...
I'm pretty sure it isn't Mark. It looks like it has a fender skirt, which was an available option on the civilian 68 Furys, but wouldn't have been found on a police car.

Where did you order yours from? I ordered from Diecast Direct which originally had an available date of January 10th, and now they say late Feb-early March :x :x :x I would have ordered from somewhere else if I would have known they were going to take so long. Ditto on Awesome Diecast - they commis...
