According the site, they are all sold out. Even if I could have afforded one, they were gone before I knew they were released....LOL.

With as popular as this one was, I can only hope they will consider doing a replica of CFD's "Big John" super pumper.

30 hours, almost beat the Columbus Engine. Sooner or later some of the fence sitters will realize they need to order day, not month 1low quantities made sell quicker.

Water Tower 3’s history was long. Chicago purchased this truck in 1923, a Seagrave 65 foot Water Tower shop number G27, with three turrents to deliver high pressure water. The prior Water Towers where the old Champion Water Tower which were horse drawn. The Original design had two large turrents on the deck, and one at the end of the mast., In 1936 all three of the water towers had “Crows Nests” added to the end of the booms super structure, and the “Corrigan Pipes” were added allowing for one firefighter to get a birds eye view and direct the stream from a basket. When G27 was placed in service it was Water Tower 1 stationed at Engine 5 on South Jefferson, at that time WT 1 had a 2nd piece that followed it, High Pressure 1 which was a combination hose wagon with a large turrents also mounted on the rig. Two piece snorkels as early as 1923.
In 1928 Engine 5 moved into the new fire house(current) on South Desplaines and a new 1928 Seagrave 65 foot Water Tower shop number G43 was delivered and placed in service as WT 1.
The 1923 Water Tower was renumbered and organized as Water Tower 3 at Engine 104’s on South Michigan (Building is now a resturant) it ran from 104’s from 1928 until 1959. This was also about the time WT 4 was put in service at Engine 1’s. WT 4 was the original “Cherry Picker Snorkel”.
In 1928 Water Tower 3 moved to Engine 46. It ran out of Engine 46 from 1959 until 1961, in 1961 the rig was replaced and Snorkel 6 was organized with a brand new 70 foot Ford Strato Snorkel, WT 3 basically went to the shops for storage after 1961. This rig was a front line piece from 1923 until 1961 38 years.

Looks like a fantastic model. However, not something that goes with my collection. Sadly, I'm getting to the point with space that I have to be selective on what I buy, or i'd never have room to display them!

I hope you guys enjoy it when it arrives!
