Franklin Mint Ladder Truck Question

Hello, has anyone owned a 1965 Franklin Mint Seagrave ladder? Do you know if the ladder and booms still function over time? Or do the booms and/or ladder sections wear out, causing it to be inoperable or fall down, as in some other models?

I have the same question about their snorkel.

Any help is appreciated!

I've never had a problem with them but I don't generally leave the boom or the ladder extended for very long.

Same here, the ladder doesn't stay extended long enough for me to know how well they'd do long term.

I have displayed my snorkel with the boom extended up for years and it has stayed in place. I do not lower it or move it- just have left it in the up position in my display cabinet.

That is fantastic! I obtained a brand new FM snorkel. The lower boom is firm. But the top one which holds the upper arm - it does not stand up at all.

In case anyone can suggest...how does one firm up or repair this boom?

Thank you,
Michael
