Nice looking model, that appears based off a rig that served Hamden CT based on the paint job and markings.

Nice replication of a Diamond T of that period. Our department had a 1937 Diamond T built by Maxim. A bit of the same front end look but the windshield was very low. Most comfortable truck seat I ever sat in. ( a loooonnnng time ago )!

Awsome Diecast will carry the Diamond T ladder truck from Autocult. No price yet, but looking at similar models from Autocult, I would guess $150+ price range. They have 25 on order. It will not be released for at least 2 months. I called Awsome today and ordered one with my plastic. Not buying many models these days, but this looks like a keeper.

Went by the Post Office today to pick up my Autocult Diamond T service ladder truck. The first thing I will say is that the packaging was outstanding.
The white over red paint scheme is very well done, nice sharp lines. All the plated parts are nicely done, and the overall look of the model is outstanding. The only thing i noticed was the running boards are plain, no texture, but I don't have any images to compare it to. All in all, a nice piece. I hope they do some more vintage pieces of US fire apparatus.

forgot to mention the model comes in an acrylic display case, dimensions 8.5" long x 3.5" wide x 3.5" high. Anchored to the base at 3 points with 6 screws. I did not attempt to remove it.

Got mine a few days ago. I also noticed the lack of "texture" on the running boards. After looking at some photos of the 1/1 rig, it appears there is some texture, but would be very hard to reproduce properly in scale. The only other thing I noticed after looking at the photos, is the original seems to be a cream over red paint scheme, rather than white over red. That could be attributed to color change on a slide over time, or it could be the 1/1 rig was repainted at some point. One photo appears to be taken later as it has a gumball on the roof instead of the Roto-Ray. All in all, a nice piece. Even with a very limited "collectable" budget, I am glad I spent the money.
