Fire Replicas 1972 Chicago ALF

Fire Replicas has just released the 1972 Chicago American LaFrance 2000/500 GPM engines. These rigs protected the loop/downtown area with the high volume pumps added additional water pressure needed for the hi-rises, and larger older buildings in the area.
Engine 1 located at 419 S. Wells on the South side of the loop.
Engine 5 "Greektown Express" at 324 South Desplaines west of the loop.
Engine 13 “Lucky 13" which at that time was at 209 N. Dearborn (now at 259 N. Columbus).
Engine 42 “The Iron Ring" at 55 W. Illinois St North side of the loop.
Engine 98 at 202 E Chicago North loop. The John Hancock 100 story building is around the corner from here and it opened in 1969.
Engine 103 "West Loop Troops" located at 25 S. Laflin West Loop.
The north loop area also known as the Magnificent Mile is North of the Chicago River Engine’s 13, 42, and 98, are popular areas because of the proximity to Navy Pier and the Magnificat mile shopping district.
Engine 1, 5, and 103 are popular as people visit the tallest building in Chicago the 110 story Sears/Willis tower which opened 1973.
Starting in the 70’s Engines 5, and 42, would run as a water task force on fires with Big John and a Hose wagon. Big John was stationed at 42’s and the Hose Wagon with Engine 5. Fire replicas has released prior models of Engine 5, and 42’s 1948 Mack Sedans
