Jacksonville E-27 in 1/25 scale

Here's where we are as of the end of the building session today. Got a bit more done on the cab and the bumper.
Windshield wipers, grill mounted, front bumper painted and installed, "chrome" trim around the side non-opening windows in the cab, visor light above the windshield.

Work continues with a bit of decaling. It had to be done in order to get the headlight buckets ready for mounting. Otherwise I would have had to cut around them and that would have been close to impossible. The Jacksonville seal was imported from on line to the graphics program where it was sized downward to fit. Printing was nice and crisp. There are also side marker lights at the corners of the cab that are also in the middle of the striping. The tall narrow items on the back of the cab side is an LED water glass for indicating how full the water tank level is. All kinds of gadgets to make!

That’s a neat logo with the black and red, came out perfect too

Moving on, the front steps have been completed using some DonMills Models treadplate. This is a continuation of what used to be McKean's treadplate from the 1980's. Still just as good as before. The scene lights and side warning LED's have also been added. In the photo are the two rear steps that are in the process of being built. The small black curved wire is a piece that will set on top of the fender flair as a piece of black welting. Then we'll see about finishing up the yellow striping on the cab sides and getting the door handles and grab rails completed.

Time marches on and so does adding all of the little details that make up this build. Every time I search the photos something new pops out at me. But that is the nature of trying to build a replica. Those things have to be added. Here is where we are as of today.
