Sometimes you need a quick project to get you back into the model building spirit. Such was the case today for me, as it's been some time since I've finished anything.
This model is from one of those European magazine series that pop up on E-bay quite a bit. While not a US prototype per se, it is of a US vehicle and it lends itself quite well to making an American looking ambulance. All I did with this one was remove the tampo printing with nail polish remover, add some appropriate InQuarters decals and FRR lights and siren, and then create some hubcaps from rhinestones and voila, instant ambulance.
I've purchased a few of these from South America and will get more creative with paint on the next one. But for now, here's my simple re-do - the third photo shows the model as released.

Love it, you could never tell it was not a US ambulance, the original markings look good as well.

Looks great! And perhaps the first time anyone has used "Voila" on this board.

Very nice. I never thought of using rhinestones in pace of center caps like that. Great idea.
