M2 and Hallmark

Finally finished up a couple of models that have been on my work bench far too long. The Chevy C60 is an M2 cab with a Hallmark Ornaments's John Bean high pressure pumper. I used the wheels and plastic tires from the Hallmark, because I liked the looks of them. The roof beacon on both models, is one of the rear beacons from a Corgi Seagrave. Looks good on a 1:64 scale model. The rescue is the Hallmark pumper, but I modified the pumper body and enclosed it to look like a Reading rescue body. I made the side and rear lights out of clear plastic and a hole punch. Added a ladder from a Code 3. I may stick some extinguishers on the running boards of both models. The engine needs some hose and decals yet.

Beautiful work. How do you attach the cab to the body??

Most of the time, I run a small nut and bolt through the back of the cab, in to the pumper body. I run the head of the bolt in from the cab, that way the end of the bolt can stick out farther to allow access to the nut. And occasionally, once I get it all aligned, I glue a piece of styrene to the back of the cab, and then glue the body to the styrene.
