I Purchased 3 of these off of ebay for around $25. My intentions was to just experiment and see how far I could take them. I used different materials, different glues, different paint and different decals. The idea was to push it so far to learn and if I didn't like the end product to throw it away.
The base vehicle is a 1/24 Road Signature Ford F-650. This is the 2nd iteration of the project my ambulance was the 1st.

I started by completely taking the truck apart and taking all paint off. With the cab I removed the seats and added 3 SSB Resin seats that I modified a little. I also put down photo etched diamond plate as foot knocker and mouse pad material on the floor to look like Rino-liner like material. Center console is made of plastic strip along with medical cabinet.

I just used the cab and frame. I had to extend the frame a little. The suspension was raised. Wheels are from AMT ALF. Decals are from InQuarters and Trumpeter ALF kit.

I always liked this model. I have one near 1/87 scale I have been hanging on to for a project. This Ford chassis is a sharp looking truck.

Thanks! I have seen this model in 1/24 there is a pumper in 1/32,1/64 and 1/87. This one is pretty easy to work with.
