Greenlight Ohio HP Caprice

Ever since the Caprice was announced by Greenlight this one was on my list to do. They did make it a bit easier to do with the release of a silver version in their Hobby Shop series. It came with wire type wheel covers and a blue side stripe. I decided to try out some things on this model. TO remove the stripes I tried out the Testor's old paint remover. It worked pretty well and fast as compared to the traditional nail polish remover. I had some older OHP decals in stock. ( I think them may be Bill Bozo but not sure.) They were designed for white cars so when I applied them, the winged wheel logo was silver. I decided to try a painted layer. So the logo was painted white with a paint pen and toothpick. Then a new logo was applied over top. A Whelen light bar was snatch from a LeMans demo model as were the wheels. I noticed the trunk number fell off during photos. Just as well since it wasn't gold as this era was.
All in all, I'm OK with the results. Looks good from 3 feet. Reference photo stolen from the internet. (And I just realized I need to paint the wheels silver. )
