Recently a new player in the 1/64 game, 596 Models, released a Ford Police Interceptor Sedan, Taurus. Of course I jumped on the band wagon and ordered a bunch. They are real nice. I would consider them almost a First Response of 1/64. I decided to do a quick version of it for PA State Police. Decals ore my custom In Quarters and the light bar and push bar are from the parts box. I ham fisted this one a bit as I just wanted to give one a try. I definitely learned how to work with them so I am ready for the next ones.

These models are really well done. They screw together. And the mirrors and lights are separate pieces that can be removed. Only real down side is the windows are riveted in. And they are very limited and only available from China. As a result they run about $30 each shipped. Current versions were done for NYPD and black as slick tops and LAPD with a Vision Light bar.

596 Also Did a Tahoe in black and Chicago markings and a Chevy Express Van in NYPD and black versions. They have shown a few other models ot come including a Rolls Royce and International school bus. I am not sure their marketing plan but I am happy to have these. Fortunately the Greenlight Taurus has been going up in value so I may sell off my stash to offset this investment.

I just saw the passenger mirror came loose. Back to the shop for a repair.

I bought the LAPD version. Really good quality cars. Nice job on the custom Jeff.

They are nice. NIce enough I will be selling off all my Greenlight Taurus I had for customs.

The quality of this model is miles ahead of the GL version.
