Hi everybody,

after another long break some little progress on this one. Allthough the building part of the following step wasn´t that much, the mechanical aspect was quite a task for me
After the building of the second telescope boom i started to build the ladder basket. The difficult part was to create the basket moveable in the correct maner
Despite tons of photographs of the FDNY tiller ladders, finding some useable closeups or detail shots of the basket, was a different story
And having the technical drawings of these trucks wasn´t of any help either, since the details of the basket mechanism where not shown
So i´ve spend the last few months after my last post (in the old forum) with the good old "error and trial" method

Anyway that´s where i´m so far, hope you still like it

First the basic work by building the base frame out of ps sheet and rectangular ps tubes.

followed by the support brackets for the telescope boom, also made out of rectangular ps tubes.

then the further completition of the basket followed

Next was adding more details and starting the build the moving mechanism

And more progress on the mechanism

continuation of the of the moving parts creation.
Sorry that i don´t comment each step with any technical explanation, i simply don´t know the expressions for all the technical parts
So i just let the pictures speak
