Question about this one, the FDNY TSU units, and some of the other recent FDNY releases. In the FR photos, the white paint on the rigs looks like an off white, cream color but photos I've seen of the real life rigs, they are a bright white. Can anyone who owns an actual FR FDNY TSU confirm what the white paint looks like? I base a lot of my purchases off of real "in hand" photos of a piece and not the stock photos on websites. I haven't seen any photos posted here of the most recent FDNY pieces but I'm sure a few members have them in their collections. Thanks in advance.

Troy, you're not alone, the pictures of these trucks have that look, not sure if the gloss coat and lighting have that effect, I stuck this out the door to snap a picture, it really is a Bright White to the naked eye. This picture still looks creamy than looking at it normal. I have seen the FDNY's in person they are all a bright white. The White on the decal stripe is as bright as the cab, however the decal looks white in the picture go figure.

FDNY sells, you can still get them from alliancescalemodels.com or on ebay. The Fire Replicas collectors have had no issue getting this one, it has been a trend that Fire Replicas Collectors have been seeing the last several releases sell out before any marketing gets out to the general public. Only doing 200 models or less is working to move these quickly.

Collectors that are now finding out about Fire Replicas and are trying to fill voids and are interesting to watch. A collector who wanted Chicago stuff posted a month back an offer of 700.00 for a Tower Ladder, after he could not find a person willing to let theirs go, he raised the stakes to 1000.00. He did find one and paid a grand for it.

BTW the time record holder is still the first release of 150 Columbus Engines 23 hours.

Troy I'm away from home and unable to get some pictures for you. But I can assure you, these models do not look creamy in person. They are bright white and very sharp.
