Above site has been down or blocked for a week now. If anyone is in contact with Yann, can we find out if its permanent? If its a question of money, or just lost interest, I would be happy to take it over. Its sort of sad that it just went away one day, with no notice. Like other internet forums, it was not used that much, but it still had some life in it. rich@inquarters.com

I have also noticed this. It has gone down a bit before but never this long. I agree it is being missed. A simpler more friendly environment to share and discuss.

I check it every day. I sent an email to Yann and one to Christophe, never heard back. Mark Bowden did the same. Sad, there was some great information in the section where the models produced were cataloged. It had not been kept up, but was pretty accurate as far as police models from various manufacturers. Would have been nice to save that.

I agree. I'd like to have the Gearbox list as I'm pretty sure I'm getting close to finishing the collection. Pretty decent photo gallery on the forum too. Nice looking customs by many builders.

I was a member of the poliskarr forum since 2009. When i first joined the forum it was full of posts by users and their customs. Over the years however the number of posts got less and less and in the last year or so before it closed i noticed there was only one or two users who were consistently posting their customs. I think the site just ran out of steam and the owners just decided to pull the plug due to the lack of interest or lack of finance as the number of users contributing to keeping the site open dwindled. Pity there was no word from the owners about this. Would have been nice to know what was going on. It was a great site though. I loved the interface and the picture gallery.

I think the same thing happened there, that happened here. Facebook killed it. The same two or three that posted there, post the same crap on 20 plus Facebook pages, all day long. A lot of it that they post, I have seen years and years ago. Instead of being addicted to models, they are addicted to incessant posting. I see the same things, be it fire or police, posted by the same people, on at least 20 plus pages. The recognition is the motivation. There are no "like" buttons here, so they move on to Facebook in search of the almighty recognition. And if there are problems, they join another page or group, or start another one of their own. I see one prolific fire builder, has five or six pages or groups. With all the same members, and the same posts, and all the same people liking or saying "good job". With a "thank you" and a "you're welcome" posted as well. Its no longer about building models, its about building your post count. I spend a lot less time on Facebook, and certain things I have stopped posting all together. Just my two cents.
