The last of the V8's in 1:43 scale
Greenlight has announced a 1:43 scale version of Max Rockatansky's V8 Interceptor, from the Mad Max movie. Also known as the Pursuit Special, it was made from a 73 Ford Falcon XB GT coupe. Now we need the yellow interceptors and pursuit cars.

Nice to see in 1/43. I would love to see all the MFP cars from the original movie done actually, or at least Max's pursuit/patrol car.

I am with you Jim. All the MFP cars would make great models. I am surprised it has taken 39 years to bring out decent priced and decent sized models from Mad Max. There was that Auto Art release several years back, but it was pretty expensive, even for a 1:18 scale car. However it is no different than our wait for an Adam 12 model, or a larger Squad 51 and Engine 51, or any of the ambulances from Mother Jugs & Speed. Or the Bronco from 240 Robert. Or the motors from Chips. Or the ambulance from Cannonball Run. We are just now seeing cars from the original Smokey and the Bandit, which was released in 1977. A 41 year wait there. Even though they are sandbox size, at least its a start. Look how long it took to get cars from The Blues Brothers. How about those modulars from Emergency? There is a lot of subject matter, but our little segment of the hobby does not dictate what gets made. But I never once saw a thread anywhere, about wanting the Family Truckster from Vacation. Or yet another VW bug release. Oh well, we can sit and wait I guess.
