Snyder Ambulance - 1/43rd IXO 1972 Ford Club Wagon Ambuliner
Snyder Ambulance - 1/43rd IXO 1972 Ford Club Wagon Ambuliner
Here's another one that I started several years ago and put on the back burner due to a lack of suitable decals. InQuarters latest TV EMS sheet has solved that problem, and while made for 1/64 vehicles, some of the larger decals are usable for 1/43 builds. This model depicts an ambulance shown in the final scene of the 1972 "Emergency!" premiere movie, as the camera was panning away from the cave-in site. The van model itself is from the IXO "James Bond" series, which I took apart, stripped, and repainted to replicate the unit shown from Snyder Ambulance, a real Los Angeles area ambulance company that supplied vehicles to many 1970s shows. The lights and sirens are all First Response Replicas parts and the rear step bumper is a photoetch part from InQuarters. So glad I was finally able to finish this one!
