1/43 Chevy Wheels
Has anyone by chance come across 1/43 wheels for a late 80's early 90's Chevy Caprice?

Re: 1/43 Chevy Wheels
Are you looking for a source or if anyone has extras. As you showed the Greenlight model has them on several models. They were also on the White Rose Caprices. And to a lesser quality on the old Road Champs. None are perfect but all can look good with a little work.

Re: 1/43 Chevy Wheels
A source would be better. I am just looking for the Chevy wheels not the whole model. Greenlight wheels would be better, Road Champ wheels just don't look that good. In the past I have tried to contact Greenlight, but with no success. In the past, I was in the process of trying to get some from FRR, but of course they sold out. Now when it comes to Greenlight, "T2" has the right type, but the ones on the "Groundhog Day" are not as good.
Thanks

Re: 1/43 Chevy Wheels
Just for clarification, I just went to Diecast Direct website. First, the "Groundhog Day" car I got does not have the Chevy logo on the wheels like shown on the site. It is like the "Home Alone" police car on their site. Second the NYPD and the "T2" have what I am looking for. Most of the cars are listed under "Hollywood cars"

Re: 1/43 Chevy Wheels
I gather that. White Rose? Greenlight? Something else?
Do you want it perfectly matched or are you willing to do some modeling? I am trying to help but more info is needed.
In the end you may need to do what many of us do is buy a donor model to get the parts you need.

Re: 1/43 Chevy Wheels
The wheels/tires on the Greenlight Caprice, are the only good things on the model. Its worse than horrible. The grille, sticks out about 1/4 inch from the recess its supposed to fit in, and its about 1/4 inch too wide. It sticks out pretty far away from the body sides. They painted or molded the T2 grille in black, so the grossly oversize grille does not show up too badly in photos. Its pretty evident when you get one and take it out of the box. Greenlight had a wonderful AeroDynic lightbar from the FRR tooling. Nope, they tooled an incorrect one, with speaker grilles on front and rear. Other than that, its not a terrible lightbar. The single driver side spotlight, is even small for 1:64 scale. Best thing to do with that is take it off if you dont have a correct size. The interior is not that bad, nor is the body dimensions. It looks correct, its just that the stupid grille ruins the entire car. I can not imagine how this thing got out the door, let alone pass any sort of inspections.
