1/87 Scale Ford C Cab/ Pierce 2500 Gallon tanker. I am entering it under fire apparatus open/kit-bash.

The Cab is off of a Athern Squrt, and the Body is made by Alloy Forms. All of the details were made by hand, i.e. the running boards and hose bed cover. Also there is a fold a tank I also made by hand in 1/87 scale.

You are looking at a 1/64 scale kitbash of the FDNY 1985 Mack / Saulsbury Rescue 1
This piece was done using mainly two differnt Code 3 trucks. The Code 3 MR/ MC Mack NYPD unit
and the 1996 HME / Saulsbury Rescue. Starting with the cab it was stripped down and painted. Diamond plate add to the roof along with lighting details. Moving to the back it was stripped down to metal and all of the doors cut off. I also cut the back of the truck to add the older style FDNY back. I then went in and built each cabinet one by one starting with the frames and then the shelving. each door measured to scale and put in place. The doors were left open to show some of the tools a rescue company may use at any given time. I took parts from many Code 3 pieces and also scratch built many small tools, such as the halogan bars and the jaws to name a few. I put diamand plate on the back of the truck with lighting a top This was the look of the older FDNY rescues company from the back. There are many more details but i want to keep it short.
This piece was a great challenge and a lot of fun to kitbash. I would encourage anyone to give a kitbash like this a try

You are looking at a 1/64 scale kitbash of the 1989 FDNY Mack/Baker Tower ladder 131
This piece was done using two Code 3 pieces the Yonkers CF Mack pumper and the Colsdale tower ladder
first the the cab I cut the cab off the pumper and filed it down so the back of the cab was smooth. them I build a small bracket that will attach the tower to the cab. many small detaila were put on the cab lights and axes also the company sogan Happy Hookers to name a few. OK to the back I glued the tower to the braket on the cab once dry I put a small piece of plastic stock to mold in the cab with the tower. Under the boom and along the back of the truck are details, details, details I put a tool crib along with sholves, cones, rope, chains, you name it.
I wanted this piece to look used so I also put some minor weathering with some watered down black indan ink.
decals added thanks Rich and their you go. This was a great piece to kitbash, you can't beat an old Mack....Mike Gilber

You are looking at a 1/64 scale kitbash of the FDNY 1981 Sutphen tower ladder 119
known as the Tower of Power. The back was taken from the Code3 modern day Sutphen this piece was produced with a whole lot of changes. the piece was stripped down, all of the doors taken off and replaced with the door configuration that was on the FDNY piece. The jump seats were out of the Colesdale Tower ladder. Now to the cab. you would say how in the world did you get a Sutphen cab since Code3 did not produce one in that era.
well I took a C Mack cab Cut down the center and added stock plastic to make the cab bigger. I cut the roof posts and reangeled them to the Sutphen. All of the diamond plate was cut to scale and put on by hand. I also weatherd the piece to show the years of being in service to the city of New York....Mike Gilbert
